The Department of Mathematics and Computer
Science offers programs of study leading to baccalaureate degrees in mathematics and in
computer and information sciences. Academic programs allow considerable flexibility for the student
(in consultation with an advisor) to work out a plan of study consistent
with the student's career objectives and interests. Programs can be tailored to provide
preparation for graduate study, employment in industry or government, and licensure for secondary
school teaching. Other programs provide preparation in
applications/mathematical programming, and a certificate in computer programming.
A minor is available in either mathematics or computer science.
The department also offers graduate programs in mathematics and computer science leading to the Master of
Science degree. |
